Burlap, Lace & Twine - Wedding and Ceremony Invitations

Remember when I mentioned that I love burlap? (Click here if you missed it!) Well, this new invitation makes me love it even more.

I originally made these invitations for my cousin's wedding, and they printed up SO nicely. My cousins were getting compliments on them left and right. I have been dying to put them up in my shop ever since.

I now present to you the invitation I wish I had when I got married!

This rustic wedding invitation is faux burlap, lace, and twine, all combined into one digital 5x7 JPG file that you can have printed anywhere you'd like. The coordinating ceremony invitation (if you are having a separate wedding or sealing ceremony) is also available and pictured below.

Click here to see these items in my Etsy shop!

If you know someone planning a rustic or country wedding, make sure to share this set with them. Maybe I can convince my husband to marry me again just so I can plan a burlap, lace, and twine wedding...in my dreams. Sigh.

**Bonus!** If you order both invites, I will give you a $5 discount if you follow See Nikki Create on Instagram and Twitter (@seenikkicreate). Just follow, then send me a convo before you place your order and I'll get you a coupon code!

Daughter of a King - Nursery Art

A few weeks ago, my cousin commented that she was looking for a print where she could put her daughter's birth stats in the shape of an LDS temple with the phrase, "I am a daughter of a king, destined to become a queen." I love the temple and love the idea of putting all of that information together in one print. After all, we all want to remember those important things: your baby at birth and her divine potential.

Thus, here is my newest nursery art! Each print will be customized with your baby girl's information and you can choose the background color and font from my options listed. This print is a great way to add a personal touch to your nursery, and is a keepsake for any baby girl.

Check this out in my Etsy shop!

See this print in my shop here. You'll probably want to get one ordered, printed, and framed ASAP!

Additional custom colors and fonts are available upon request.

Woodland Fox Prints

I'm crazy about foxes. They are so trendy and so cute. And I'm not going to lie–I love the song "What Does the Fox Say?" by Ylvis. My siblings even taught my two-year-old daughter to respond, "Hotee-hotee-hotee-ho!" when asked, "Ivy, what does the fox say?" She also dances to it. The whole thing cracks me up.

I just HAD to create my own foxes to share on my Etsy shop. These are perfect prints for a nursery! Having a baby soon? Going to a baby shower? Want to redecorate your nursery? This is the place to start! Check them out and click the links below each to order one for yourself!

"Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!"

Famous Couples on Faux Burlap - Now Available!

I love burlap. I wish I could redecorate my house and have burlap everywhere. I made a wreath out of burlap, a banner out of burlap, and I have a ton of burlap sitting in my craft storage calling my name every day. I have been working with faux/digital burlap, and wanted to start posting some of my creations for you to download and enjoy in your home.

I adore the famous couple prints and have given many as gifts for family and friends' weddings. I think all couples should have their names etched with the famous couples of history. Each couple has a unique and beautiful story and deserves to be commemorated.

Here is the newest print available in my Etsy shop!

Click here to see this item in my shop and order one TODAY! It will be customized with the first names of the couple.

Know anyone with an anniversary, wedding, or shower coming up? This would make the perfect gift!

Keep watching for more burlap. I'm planning burlap Christmas cards, wedding invitations, and more...

Drab to Fab - Desktop Organization

I was scanning through my ridiculously huge page of likes on Pinterest (currently at 1,642...guilty...) and saw a pin that definitely caught my eye about desktop organization. It took me to Heather at Moritz Fine Designs, and it was exactly what I needed to get started–and it was so SIMPLE! I want to share with you some of her tips and some of my own to get your computer life  in order.

With so much going on in my life (3 blogs, 2 kids, 1 Etsy shop, and all the normal SAHM duties), I need every possible organization tip I can find to make my days smoother. Most of my work is done on the computer, so having my documents and files easily accessible is a must. I don't have much spare time to go searching through folders to find what I need, and I'm sure you don't either!

Here's what you need to do to get started from a drab desktop to a FAB desktop:

1. Take a few minutes to get things in order. Make folders and begin to move individual items to the folders. Gather items that are similar or for the same project. Be sure to label your folders in a way that will make it easy to search alphabetically. It's okay to only have 2 or 3 items in a folder–it will be much easier to find those items in a folder that is named well. Rename individual items that are important.
2. Be picky! Only keep the files that you actually will use again. If you have a bunch of random things that you saved from the Internet that you won't ever look at again, delete them. Use good judgment.
3. Decide which folders and individual files you want on your desktop. Only select the most important items that you need to access frequently or quickly.

Now it's time to make it all look fabulous!

1. Determine your screen resolution.
- Mac: select System Preferences from the Apple menu, then choose Displays. Check and see which resolution is highlighted (mine is 1440 x 900). This is the picture size you will need to download.
- Windows: click the Start button, the click Control Panel. Find Appearance and Personalization, then choose the Adjust screen resolution option below it. There will be a drop-down resolution list that shows your current resolution setting. This is the picture size you will need to download.

2. Choose from one of the two designs below and follow the link to the folder of resolution sizes. Choose the resolution that is right for your display and download it.
**If you need a 2880x1800 size of either design, send me an email requesting it and I will email it to you. Google Docs won't let me upload it for some reason.**

3. Go to the website Picmonkey. Upload the image and use the text box function to add titles to each of the banners. Re-save the image, making sure not to change the size of the picture before downloading it.

4. Upload the newly edited image as your desktop background image.
- Mac: go to System Preferences from the Apple menu. Click the Desktop & Screen Saver button. When that window opens, find the newly edited image, click it, and you're done! (You can also find the image on your desktop or in your downloads folder and right click and choose Set Desktop Picture.)
- Windows: right-click your desktop and choose the option Personalize. Choose Desktop Background (bottom left), then browse and find your image and choose it for the background. Select Save Changes, then you are done!

5. Arrange folders into the new boxes on your desktop background. (This part was really fun for me!)

and...Voila! Your FABULOUS new desktop!!

Being organized on my computer has saved me tons of time already...except if you count the time I have spent just staring at my screen in amazement and adoration...

Make sure to keep up with desktop organization as much as possible. Minutes after setting up my new desktop, I downloaded half a dozen files that suddenly cluttered my space. I quickly moved them to the correct folders or boxes so that I wouldn't have the same chaos that I had before.

I hope the tutorial helps you to get your life in order. Please leave any questions or comments below. I'd love to hear how this works out for you! Also, share your new, organized screen with me and my followers on Twitter or Instagram (@seenikkicreate) by using #sncdesktoplove!

I Love Your Guts

One of my favorite ways to express my love is by telling my friends and family, "I love your guts!"
My dad thinks it is disgusting, but laughs and says it back.
My almost two-year-old daughter thinks it is hilarious, and says it often.
My husband thinks I'm weird, but humors me anyway.

As I was encouraging my daughter to say it to my hubby, I thought of it in a Halloween context and just had to make a printable of it. And who better to love guts than one missing them–a skeleton!

Add this kid-friendly, spooky, fun print to your Halloween decor today!

Fall is Finally Here! New Autumn Printables Up!

Happy fall, everyone!

I absolutely love the fall! I love everything about it and I am SO excited to pull out my sweaters, coats, and boots. I've been waiting anxiously for this season all year.

Leaves changing.
Football.
Snuggling.
Pumpkins.
Turkey.
Cool air.
Mmmmm.....

To celebrate the beginning of my favorite season, here are the newest prints up in my Etsy shop! Imagine this on your mantel–wouldn't that be perfect? I can't wait until I have a mantel someday....I guess my bookshelves will have to do for now!

A little background: I fell in love with my husband in the fall. In fact, it was probably very close to the first day of fall in 2010 when I started to have feelings for him. Maybe it was the cool air of the camping trip; perhaps it was the beauty of the mountains and the changing leaves on the trees as we rode our bikes around. Regardless, I fall in love with my husband more and more every autumn.
 I love the fall.

"Autumn is the season that I fall for you."
